Author's Note: When this happened, I was alone, so even telling two people wasn't enough, I had to share it with everyone, because it was so scary, and funny
"UGH I'm hungry!" I thought as I sat on the couch with my phone in my hand. I had already scoped out my fridge and pantry, and found nothing that caught my eye. For some reason I kept looking, maybe I was hoping that something would appear that hadn't before. Nope. Wait, I found some grahm crackers, and chocolate. Then I was suddenly set on making smores, which didn't make sense because I had no marshmallows anyway. I took a chocolate, unwrapped it, and placed it in the microwave. I left the wrapper on, with the chocolate on top of it, because I was too lazy to get a bowl. I set the microwave for 30 seconds, hoping it would get soft but not melt. As I stood by the microwave, i remembered that it wasn't good to put aluminun in the microwave, and on cue, there was a boom.
I jumped -well obviously- and pressed open the microwave. The aluminun had lit fire, and blue and red flames licked the top of the microwave, leaving little black marks. I hit cancel and the flames receeded, leaving a big black mark on the microwave plate. I sighed, and stared at that little piece of chocolate. Then I started laughing, because I realized how funny it was. And why is lighting a microwave on fire funny? It just is :)
Haha that's hilarious! That definately sounds like something I would do. I totally have the same problem too, I'm always hungry, and I keep going back to look for food and can never find anything. I thought it was well written and I could really picture this happening. Nice job:)
ReplyDeleteNice one, Sophie. That souds like something I would do regularly. The adjectives made it easy to go there in my head.
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah that piece totally describes me! I'm always hungry, and then one time I was trying to make a quesadilla and nachos in the microwave, but I forgot to put a piece of paper towel over the plate, and it totally exoploded, but I wasn't home alone, so I didn't have a chance to clean it up before my parents got home; my mom walked through the kitchen door and started yelling.... and you know what happens next. Great job
ReplyDeletehaha oh sophie, im sitting in the library computer lab cracking up because i can totally see you doing this. hahaha
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! This is really funny!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeing able to laugh at your own mistakes is a carefully aquired skill, and you have it mastered. Smores with no marshmallows? Come on!
ReplyDeleteDid you still eat the chocolate? I know I would have.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's funny! Great job describing it made a really clear picture in my head. One time I put carmel in the microwave for like 1 minute and let's just say our house was completly full of smoke!
ReplyDeleteHaha that was funny! Once I heated a chocolated chip cookie for my little brother because he can't work the microwave. I set it for a minute and never took it out. The cookie totally burned up and the house smelled like smoke the whole day!
