Author's Note: In Ohio, at the end of my street was a place like this, and i always thought it was magical for the sidewalk to stop for it. :)
The last few steps are taken slowly, and my feet scrape the edge of the sidewalk, the end of this clear marked path. The scene beyond does not frighten me, for it is filled with life, tall trees, flowers, a beckoning forest. The buzz of insects flying around creates excitement, turning off their annoying habits to fit in with the peace that flows through here. Animals make themselves present, and run around in this playground, happy, calm. The sidewalk did not dare to disturb this safe haven, stopping right in its tracks to marvel at the magic.
This poem is good...I like the repition. Well it's not repition but syntax soo I think your syntax is good. It also paints a good picture in your head.
