Author's Note: This picture has two poems included in it, titled "Summer" and "Winter". These poems are based off of my independant book, Shiver, I just finished. It is in the veiw of one of the two main characters, Grace. They are both written for her love, Sam. Temperature is a key thing in this novel, so I wanted to write how she was feeling in both the winter and summer after she met him. Both poems are different styles, so if you don't take your time reading them they might seem confusing. The message really sinks in if you take your time reading it, I hope you enjoy!
I really like it. I think its really cool how its set up and how you have 2 in one. It like has the same voice, but different. Its really cool! I love how it like leads into the other, when you look at it!
ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly cool. I absolutely love the way the art interracts with the text. The poem itself is beautiful, and the experience of reading it is heightened by the art.
ReplyDeleteThe author's note only makes the piece more impressive. The way you see the connection of temperature to the theme, to the symbolism here, is a reflection of your depth and maturity as a reader. I enjoyed this thoroughly.
I loved this post Sophia! Like Erin said it is awesome how it is like two in one and the picture in the background is very neat. You did a fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the background and how the poems really seemed to be written through somebody that had to portray their thoughts, but didn't know how to.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your poems. I love the way the backround brings out the poems more. I just have one suggestion for the 2nd poem it was a little hard to read because of the white against yellow, but otherwise fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteI liked these poems a lot. I got exactly what you were trying to get across in the poem from the explanation in the authors note. Nice job
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cool piece. The way you positioned the text in the picture is very creative and makes it more interesting to look at. Great writing Sophia!
ReplyDeleteI loved that! I liked the winter one, I don't know why, but I like depressing poems. Haha. And like Alyssa said, the way you put the poems on the picture made it really interesting and awesome. Nice job Sophie :)
